Unfortunately, not all artists take the time to consider the different factors that have an affect on permanent makeup results. We see many clients who have experienced cheap and basic PMU. This has unfortunately has left them with awkward shapes and the wrong colour. Luckily, the embarrassment of walking around with mismatching eyebrows doesn’t have to last forever. WHY DOES PMU GO WRONG?
There are many factors such as skin tone, skin type and depth of pigment placement that can affect how your permanent makeup turns out. In most cases, we have found that it has been applied by someone with very little experience and lack of true colour mixing knowledge. Unfortunately there are a lot of untrained people offering below par work.
Bad brows can be completely avoided by choosing a reputable clinic in the first place. We look at the undertones of skin and the warmth and coolness of skin tone, the skin type, face shape and hair and eye colour. Our expert understands how the ink pigment is going to look once healed.
WHO IS BROW CORRECTION FOR?
We fix bad microblading and help clients with awkward shaped brows, wrong colours, as well as just bad microblading work.
It can take one or multiple sessions to correct bad brows. If your brows were originally tattooed with a light/warm colour, correction is sometimes easier. They can often be amended in 1 or 2 sessions. If your brows have been tattooed using a very dark colour, or using black pigment, correction will be harder. It may involve PMU removal treatment instead. Luckily, we offer both correction and removal. We can then can update your look with new beautiful permanent makeup in a following session.
PREP FOR YOUR CORRECTION
During your initial consultation, we will discuss the process in-depth. Expect to be at our Clinic for around 2.5 hours for your treatment, depending on your individual makeup correction or tattoo removal needs.
We recommend avoiding eyebrow tinting, waxing and plucking at least 7 days prior to your appointment to ensure your skin won’t have any reactions to your treatment.
AFTERCARE FOR YOUR CORRECTION
Naomi O’Hara is our resident and award winning PMU artist and will provide you with a list of aftercare tips following each session. This will involve keeping the brow or treatment area clean, avoiding excessive sun exposure or using sun beds and trying to limit the amount of activities that cause excess sweating. All of these routines will ensure you get the best from your PMU correction.
