The Care Quality Commission is an independent regulator of health and adult social care in England.
It ensures health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and it encourages care services to improve.  The CQC ensures that fundamental standards are met by its’ providers – standards below which care must never fall.

In 2013, Changes Clinic were accredited by the CQCÂ as a service provider for the following:
- Treatment, Disease, Disorder or Injury
- Minor Surgical Procedures
- Diagnostic & Screening Procedures
In August of this year 2016, The Maitland Clinic also became a registered provider of regulated activities.
