There is such a thing as over use of Botox, however it does not show in the way we may think…
Ever thought “too much Botox” or “she’s ruined her features” either way this is not a result of over use of Botox this would be the result of placing fillers in areas incorrectly or too much of the product to create an un natural balance of the face. It may be even down to over doing surgical procedures. A classic case of this is with Famous Fashion Designer, Donatella Versace (see image below)
Over use of Botox can in fact cause the muscles to become so weak that they can’t support the skin and can sometimes be uncomfortable. Hence why some people have been known to notice a drooping to the brows.
How to prevent Overuse of Botox?
We use the less is more approach. Some people prefer to soften lines from their face by using what we call ‘Baby Botox’, this does not stop the muscle contracting and leaves a subtle, more youthful look. However some of us prefer a little more than ‘Baby Botox’ so therefore 2 appointment will be offered 2 appointments 1. To administer the product and 2. A follow up to tweak and fine tune if needed.
