Clinic Director Kim Way has recently had the Thread Face Lift with Dr Vincent Wong
Kim has written a blog to give you an idea of pre and post treatment “LAX to LIFT in 30 Mins”
PDO thread lifting for lower face & neck – 4 threads: 2 to neck, 2 to lower face to lift jowls
(not a replacement for surgical face lifting, results are subtle and progressive due to collagen & elastin stimulation)
Day of Treatment!
Treatment not as uncomfortable as expected. Worse to watch from looking at the faces of the observers! Numbed by local anaesthetic and procedures carried out in 30 minutes. Going out tonight – which is brave – so hope it doesn’t bruise. Slight puckering on cheeks which I’ll cover with hair and very minimal swelling around entry areas. Can see an immediate difference in my jawline smoother and tighter. Told to be as expressionless as possible, no apple biting and sleep on back!! Oh well, it’s only for 5 days – can I do it??
Out last night at a bar and hubbie said I was talking strangely – well yes, I was trying to be expressionless as advised! So I would recommend a night in immediately post procedure. Slept on my back okay with a neck pillow. Still no bruising but can see outline of thread on face. Feel a little tight and have had odd sensations in cheeks but nothing uncomfortable. Careful to overfill my fork when eating as restricting my mouth opening – great for the waistline as you want to eat less and it takes longer!!
Out today in sunshine so ensure, as always, I was thorough with my Factor 50! Nobody noticed that I’ve had a treatment although I can still see a slight line under skin as healing occurs! Still some puckering but not enough for people to stare – or they’re just too polite! I keep looking in the mirror at improvement in my jawline. Husband says he can see the difference which is a good sign as he can be a sceptic!
Woke up today showing a slightly dark spot on my neck so must have bruised a little. Liking the effect and looking forward to seeing the long term result. 3 months is optimal time for results! I haven’t lost sleep lying on my back but for some this would be a big consideration for treatment! Very surprised at the downtime with this treatment as it was minimal. Think my arnica and Vitamin c intake over the past 6 days will have helped the recovery and bruising.
It’s now a week since treatment and I recovered well. Have to look at before photos to remind myself what my neck looked like before – heavier on jowls and underside of chin. 3 months is optimal time for results so more gradual improvements to come! Would have it done again without question! Results are noticeable but subtle with normal activities resumed quickly. Can see why this treatment is growing in popularity in the UK.
