What is radio-frequency microneedling?

Utilising microneedles to puncture the skins’ surface we can help to improve a variety of different skin concerns such as: textural and ageing, acne scars, skin laxity, stretch marks, open pores, and wrinkles. Radio-frequency microneedling helps to improve the overall appearance and rejuvenation of skin, through the delivery of heat to the deeper layers of skin, causing the collagen structures within these layers to tighten.

Before procedure

Prior to treatment you will be invited in for a complimentary consultation with one of aesthetic practitioners to discuss the areas you would like to treat, and the reasons for doing so. During this time we will better understand your areas of concern, advise on which areas to treat, offer a treatment plan, explain how it works in detail ensuring you fully understand the procedure.

During the procedure

The handpiece will then be placed on the skin in the target area directly on the skin. Often the areas is marked out to indicate to the practitioner the direction & order of treatment on the skin treatment.

You may feel little or no sensation during treatment. Some areas may be more sensitive than others. There is very little downtime, if any, associated with this treatment. In this scenario, “no pain, no gain” doesn’t apply!! It is a ‘comfotable’ but extremely effective treatment.

After the procedure

Once the treatment is complete, post-treatment serum Light Soothe and Light Protect SPF 50 is applied to help soothe the skin and aid its recovery.

Full results can be seen up to 12 weeks after the final treatment.

You will be invited in for a review in order to be assessed and for you to see your before/after photos (as we often forget what we look like before!)
